On January 2, 2009, a virga case developed at about 9 UTC. About 1 hour later, at 10 UTC, snow fell as temperatures remained near freezing. About 12 UTC, the snow turned to rain as temperatures rose and continued to the end of the storm. The storm dropped 0.3 inches (0.8 cm) of snowfall. The snow-water equivalent was 0.01 inches (0.03 cm). Below are the dBZ and doppler velocity radar images and graphs of statistics during and around the storm.
